내게 주는 교훈

ßôßô What lesson is God teaching me?
Vv. 17:25,26 Absalom is only concentrating on preparing for battle. He is unaware of what is going on around him and is captured by greed. He neither thinks about God nor takes a moment to care about his neighbors, but is rather led by evil human desires. Right now, with the Word in front of you, quietly, reflect on God, and take time to check on your thoughts, life, purpose and relationship with your neighbors.


Vv. 17:27-29 Even with the clouds of war gathering, God prepared his people to supply David. Shobi was a young man from the royal family of the Ammonites, Makir at one time looked after Mephibosheth, and Barzillai was a wealthy man who helped David and brought him food when David was in exile in Mahanaim. They thought about each other’s situations and met those specific needs. This opportunity encouraged David and helped him overcome his suffering. Is there anyone around me that I need to encourage?


Vv. 18:1,2 We can see the change in David. In chapter 17, whether it was because of the encouragement he received from the supplies he received after making his battle plans, he says that he himself would go into battle. This attitude is completely different from his previous attitude of running away, avoiding his problems and hiding. Do I feel powerless and try to avoid the battles that I need to confront?

Vv. 3,4 The people show their love and respect for David. David can see himself standing at the castle gate encouraging his people that are going into battle. This image gives David’s army a mental victory. A community that works together is able to accomplish anything they put their minds to. Is there anyone in my community that I must show love and respect to and encourage?

17:25,26 압살롬은 전쟁준비에만 몰두하고 있습니다. 상황이 어떻게 돌아가는지를 모른 채 욕심에 사로잡혀 사는 자의 모습입니다. 하나님을 생각하거나 이웃을 돌아볼 겨를도 없이 인간적인 욕망에 이끌려 앞만 보고 달려나가는 사람입니다. 지금 조용히 말씀 앞에서 하나님과의 관계를 돌아보고 나의 생각, 삶의 목적, 이웃과의 관계를 점검해 보는 시간을 가지십시오.

17:27-29 전운이 감도는 급박한 상황에서도 하나님께서는 준비해 놓으신 하나님의 사람들을 통해 다윗의 쓸 것을 공급하십니다. 소비는 암몬의 젊은 왕족이고, 마길은 한때 므비보셋을 돌보던 자였으며, 바르실래는 거부로서 마하나임에 망명중인 다윗에게 계속 음식을 제공했습니다. 그들은 상대방의 형편과 필요를 생각하여 적절하게 세심한 준비를 했습니다. 이것을 계기로 다윗이 용기를 얻어 겪고 있는 수난을 극복하는 계기가 됩니다. 주위에 내가 돕고 격려해야 할 사람은 없습니까?

18:1,2 달라진 다윗의 모습을 느낄 수 있습니다. 17장에서 공급받은 격려 때문인지 전열을 정비하고 전략을 세우고 자신이 직접 나가 싸우겠다고 합니다. 도망하고 피하여 숨어 지내던 지금까지의 모습과는 다릅니다. 일어나 적극적으로 도전하고 싸워야 하는데 무력하게 두려워하거나 피하기만 하고 있지 않습니까?

3,4절 백성들이 다윗을 향한 사랑과 존경을 보여주고 있습니다. 그리고 다윗이 성문에서 출전하는 백성을 격려하는 모습을 연상할 수 있습니다. 이런 모습은 다윗 군대의 정신적인 승리를 예고해 주고 있습니다. 서로 솔선수범하고 위하는 공동체는 어떤 도전도 능히 이겨 낼 수 있습니다. 공동체에서 내가 사랑과 존경을 표하고, 격려해야 할 사람은 누구입니까?
