내게 주는 교훈

lesson is God teaching me?
Overall Throughout the body of the text, we see David’s servants give him complete loyalty, and love him and lift him up. David is lifted up like “Israel’s light” and he gains this honor because of his faith and service to God (2Sa 22:29). He cared and governed with love, a people who lived in a hard time and could easily fall into despair. Do I have this kind of faithful personality?




Vv. 15-17 David’s men risked their lives to protect the king, and when David became king he did not stay in the back but went to the frontlines of battle and thus received respect from his troops. If he did not have the loyalty of the people he would not have been a great king, and if David were not faithful, his men would not have been able to shine their light. Israel was a country who with God’s help, joined together and bled together to keep the country safe. What am I doing for the Kingdom of God?




Vv. 18-22 “Strong people’s children” is referring to the descendents of the giant Rapha. They were usually birthed to be guards (Jos 11:22; 13:3) and helped the Philistine soldiers in battle. They had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot and were taller than ordinary people. However, no matter how strong this army was, they had no chance in defeating God’s people. Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the forces of evil (Eph 6:12).

전체적 본문에서는 다윗의 부하들이 다윗을 위하여 전적으로 충성을 바치고, 그를 아끼고 사랑하며 높이는 모습을 볼 수 있습니다. 다윗이 이처럼 ‘이스라엘의 등불’로 높임을 받은 것은 그가 하나님을 믿고 섬겼기 때문이요(삼하 22:29), 어두운 시대를 살며 절망하기 쉬운 백성들을 공의와 사랑으로 보살피며 다스렸기 때문입니다. 나도 이런 신앙 인격을 지니고 있습니까?


15-17절 다윗의 부하들은 목숨을 걸고 왕을 지켰으며, 다윗 역시 왕이 된 뒤에도 자신의 목숨을 돌보지 않고 최전방에 나아가서 싸우는 존경받는 왕이었습니다. 부하들의 충성이 없었다면 다윗은 결코 위대한 왕이 될 수 없었을 것이며, 신앙과 인격을 갖춘 다윗이 없었다면 그의 부하들 역시 빛을 발하지 못했을 것입니다. 이스라엘은 하나님의 도우심 아래 모든 이들이 합력하여 함께 피를 흘려가며 지켜낸 나라였습니다. 나는 하나님 나라의 어떤 일을 감당하고 있습니까?


18-22절 ‘장대한 자의 소생’이란 말은 거인족인 ‘라파’의 후손들을 가리킵니다. 이들은 주로 가드 출생으로(수 11:22; 13:3) 블레셋의 용병으로 싸움에 참전했습니다. 이들은 손가락과 발가락이 여섯 개씩 있었으며, 키도 훨씬 컸습니다. 그러나 아무리 강한 군대라도 여호와께서 무너뜨리면 감당할 수 없습니다. 우리의 싸움은 혈과 육에 관한 것이 아니고 악한 영들에 대한 싸움입니다(엡 6:12).

Lord, may I give control of all my battles to you.
주님, 제가 현재 싸우고 모든 싸움의 지휘권을 주님께 드립니다.
