What lesson is God teaching me?
When the people of God live in truth, their spiritual leader who sees this is filled with great joy. When
people hold on to the words of God and live a life of obedience even during their struggles, it gives a reason to “really live” (1Th 3:8). Who am I giving a reason to live today?
Those who are in truth must live with love each other. The elder did not just say he loved them, but
actually lived a life showing them love (Vv. 1,2).
Are you merely encouraging with words and not action, thinking that you dwell in the truth because you meditate on the word daily? Do you not also have to encourage by being obedient, sacrificing and submitting yourself to others? Only when the word is reflected in my life and personality is when my encouragement will become an influence on others. Before you say, “love each other” live a life of love.
May our community that dwells in your truth be a community that lives a life of love.
