What lesson is God teaching me?

V. 15 Do you think that living a calculated life is being wise? True wisdom is being able to discern and follow the will of God (1Co 1:30). Do the members in your church receive the training of how to correctly discern the will of God in their lives?

Vv. 15-17 Rather than having insight about the simple wisdom of this world, Christians should have insight in deeply understanding the will of God. Furthermore, if you are a wise Christian who searches for God’s will in every area of your life, you must use the time that God has given to you wisely without wasting it. Are you using the time given to you wisely? Are you not wasting your time on unimportant things?

Vv. 18-21 For Christians to live wisely in this evil generation they must be filled with the Holy Spirit. Only when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we can truly be a person of God praising and thanking God while living a humble life in submission to one another. We must seek help from the Holy Spirit in order to understand the will of God and live an upright life. Are you full of greed in this world that you are making the Holy Spirit sad? Are you continually receiving the instruction of the Holy Spirit and experiencing the result of living a life filled with the abundance presence of the Holy Spirit?

V. 21 Those who believe in Christ and devote themselves to him must submit to one other. Are you serving your family, church and workplace with love?
May I follow God’s wisdom and live a life overflowing with thanks and praise.
