Jesus is the Temple
성전이신 예수님
The temple is the place symbolizing God’s presence with His people. But the Jews disobeyed God, which corrupted and broke their covenant with God. Jesus said he would destroy this temple and build up a new temple.
성전은 하나님이 자기 백성과 함께 계시다는 것을 상징하는 곳인데, 유대인들은 하나님께 불순종하여 타락해서 하나님과의 관계를 깨뜨렸습니다. 이에 예수님은 유대교 성전을 파괴하고 새 성전을 일으켜 완성하신다고 말씀하십니다.

Thinking & Understanding
As the Passover approached, Jesus went up to the temple in Jerusalem. He was angry with the fact that people were not worshipping God, but using the temple to pursue financial benefit and convenience. He drove the merchandisers out of the temple. John said this behavior of Jesus fulfilled what was written in Psalm 69:9 that zeal for the house of the Lord will consume me (vv. 12-17).
Jesus said he would destroy the visible temple, and then raise it again in three days. Jesus was not referring to the building, but to His body. He was describing the events of the cross and resurrection that would soon occur (vv. 18-22).
유월절이 가까워 오자 예루살렘 성전으로 가신 예수님은 사람들이 하나님을 예배하기보다는 경제적인 이익과 편리함을 추구하고 성전을 이용하는 것에 분노하셨습니다. 그래서 모든 장사치들을 성전 밖으로 쫓아내셨습니다. 요한은 예수님의 이러한 행동을 주님의 집에 대한 열심 때문이라고 했습니다(12-17절).
예수님은 눈에 보이는 성전을 헐면 자신이 그것을 사흘 만에 다시 짓겠다고 말씀하셨습니다. 예수님이 말씀하신 성전은 건물이 아닌 바로 자신의 몸을 의미하는 것으로, 곧 있을 십자가와 부활의 사건에 대해 말씀하신 것입니다(18-22절).

What lesson is God teaching me?
The temple was the place where the Israelites met God. Through Jesus, who died on behalf of our sins and was resurrected, we can access God anywhere. Do I meet with God in the name of Jesus?
성전은 이스라엘 백성들이 하나님과 만나던 장소였습니다. 하지만 예수님께서 우리 죄를 대신해서 죽으시고 부활하심으로 우리는 건물 성전이 아니라, 예수님을 통해 하나님께로 나아갈 수 있게 되었습니다. 나는 예수님의 이름으로 하나님을 만나고 있습니까?

I will serve God, to whom we only come through Jesus, not other things.
