The Power of the Word
말씀의 능력
Through the miraculous sign of healing the official’s son, Jesus revealed that He is One who gives life to people; as His words are life
예수님은 왕의 신하의 아들을 고쳐 주시는 표적을 통해, 자신이 생명의 말씀으로 사람에게 생명을 주시는 분이라는 것을 계시하십니다.

Thinking & Understanding
People welcomed Jesus in Galilee because of the miracles he performed (vv. 43-45); they did not welcome Him in faith. When an official of the king went to Jesus and asked Him to heal his son who was sick and dying, Jesus scolded him for only looking for a miracle. But because of the official’s earnest request, Jesus healed the disease of the official’s son by saying a sentence. Through this, Jesus revealed that He gives new life to anyone who believes in Him. It was through saving the official’s son that Jesus also saved the entire family, as well as the king’s official (vv. 46-54).
사람들은 예수님을 믿어서가 아니라 예수님이 행하신 기적 때문에 예수님을 환영 했습니다(43-45절). 왕의 신하가 예수님을 찾아와 병들어 죽게 된 자신의 아들을 살려 달라고 간청했을 때, 예수님은 사람들의 기적만 구하는 믿음을 꾸짖으셨습니다. 하지만 왕의 신하의 간청에, 예수님은 말씀으로 그 아들의 병을 고쳐주셨습니다. 이것을 통해 예수님은 자신이 믿는 자에게 새 생명을 주시는 분이라는 것을 드러내셨고, 왕의 신하뿐 아닐 그의 가족 모두를 구원해 주셨습니다(46-54절).

What lesson is God teaching me?
God can perform impossible things like miracles. But to believe in God is not to believe simply He can do it. How do I believe in God by knowing that Jesus is God? Let’s be the person who believes in Jesus, the Word of God, and follows Him
하나님은 기적과 같은 불가능한 일들을 이루실 수 있는 분입니다. 하지만 하나님을 믿는다는 것은 단순히 그분이 기적을 일으키실 수 있다는 것을 믿는 것이 아닙니다. 예수님의 행하신 기적을 아는 나는 하나님을 어떻게 믿고 있습니까? 말씀이신 예수님을 믿고 그 분을 따르는 사람이 됩시다.
