하나님의 스케줄
In Chapter 7, Jesus points out the unbelief of the Jews. He shows them, against the background the Feast of Tabernacles, that Jesus is the One who came to fulfill the Feast of Tabernacles.
7장은 예수님이 유대인들의 불신앙을 지적하시면서, 그들의 핵심 절기인 초막절을 배경으로 예수님이 바로 초막절을 완성하기 위해 오신 분임을 보여 줍니다.

Thinking & Understanding
As the Feast of Tabernacles was approaching, Jesus’ brothers wanted Him to go to the region of Judea. The Feast of Tabernacles, the biggest feast of the Jews, was a good time to preach the Gospel. But Jesus said that the time of God had not yet come; He rejected His brothers’ request and stayed in Galilee (vv. 1-9).
But after Jesus’ brothers went to the region of Judea to observe the feast, Jesus went there in secret (vv. 10-13). Jesus did not work according to the time people requested, but according to God’s time and purpose. Jesus was silent when people wanted Him to expose Himself to the world; and because of His obedience to God, His light shined brightly to all who were in darkness.
초막절이 다가오자 예수님의 친동생들은 예수님이 유대지역으로 가기를 원했습니다. 유대인의 큰 명절인 초막절은 예수님을 많은 사람에게 알릴 수 있는 좋은 기회였기 때문입니다. 하지만 예수님은 아직 하나님의 때가 이르지 않았다고 하시면서 형제들의 요청을 거절하시고 갈릴리에 머물러 계셨습니다(1-9절).
그러나 예수님의 동생들이 명절을 지키러 유대지역으로 간 이후, 예수님은 은밀히 그곳으로 가셨습니다(10-13절). 예수님은 사람들이 요구하는 시간에 따라 행동하시지 않고 하나님의 시간과 목적에 따라 일하셨습니다. 사람들이 세상에 드러내어 말하라 하는 때에 침묵하셨고, 어둠 가운데 있던 사람들이 입을 다물라고 하실 때에 밝히 그 빛을 드러내셨습니다.

What lesson is God teaching me?
Jesus’ brothers wanted to expose Jesus to the world according to their schedule, but Jesus revealed Himself to the world according to God’s schedule. Do I act in alignment with God’s schedule?
예수님의 동생들은 자신들의 스케줄에 맞추어 예수님을 세상에 나타내고 싶었지만, 예수님은 철저하게 하나님의 스케줄에 맞추어 자신을 세상에 나타내셨습니다. 나는 하나님의 스케줄에 맞추어 행동하고 있습니까?
