Neither Do I Condemn You
너를 정죄하지 아니하노니
A woman was caught in adultery. Trying to corner Jesus, they asked Him to judge the woman. Jesus clarified that He came not to condemn the sinner, but to save them
예수님을 고소하려고 간음한 여인을 붙잡아 온 유대인들에게, 예수님은 자신이 오신 것이 죄인을 정죄하기 위해서가 아니라 구원하기 위해서라고 밝히십니다.

Thinking & Understanding
When Jesus was teaching people at the temple court, the teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. This was a sly and wicked trap intended to harm Jesus. If He said to stone her, He would break the Roman law to kill a person. If he did not say to kill her, he would be breaking the law of Moses (vv. 1-6). But Jesus’ answer was really amazing. He said, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” When they heard the words of Jesus, they began to go away one at a time. Jesus said to the woman, “Neither do I condemn you. Go now and leave your life of sin” (vv. 7-11).
예수님이 성전 뜰에서 사람들을 가르치고 계실 때 서기관과 바리새인들이 간음하다 잡힌 한 여인을 예수님에게 끌고 왔습니다. 이는 예수님을 궁지에 몰려는 간교하고도 음흉한 함정이었습니다. 만약 돌로 쳐 죽여야 한다고 말한다면 살인을 함으로 로마의 법을 어기는 것이었고, 죽이지 말아야 한다고 말한다면 모세의 율법을 어기는 것이었기 때문입니다(1-6절). 그러나 예수님의 대답은 참으로 놀라웠습니다. 예수님은 죄 없는 자가 먼저 돌로 치라고 말씀하셨습니다. 사람들은 예수님의 말씀을 듣고 하나둘씩 도망갔습니다. 예수님은 그 여인에게 자신도 그녀를 정죄하지 않으니 다시는 죄를 짓지 말라고 하셨습니다(7-11절).

What lesson is God teaching me?
Anyone who has been forgiven his sin by Jesus has to have the determination not to sin anymore. What is my repeat sin? Do I have the determination to follow Jesus and sin no more?
예수님께 죄를 용서 받은 사람에게는 이제 죄를 범하지 않으려는 의지가 있어야 합니다. 내가 반복해서 짓게 되는 죄는 무엇입니까? 나에게는 그 죄에서 벗어나려는 의지가 있습니까?
