How Beautiful is the Name of the Lord!
주의 이름이 어찌 그리 아름다운지요!
David meditated on the created world and humanity and the way God rules over all things, and he praised the name of God.
다윗은 피조 세계와 인간과, 인간을 통한 하나님의 통치를 묵상하면서 하나님의 이름을 찬양하고 있습니다.

Thinking & Understanding
David praised the power and glory of God as he looked at the magnificent beauty found in all creation - on land and in the sky. The power and majesty of the name of the Lord is found in all the places of the world. The power of his name is so great, that even through the lips of children and infants he is praised and the enemies and foes are silenced (vv. 1-2, 9).
The sky (space), and the stars, and the moon are so big that David realized just how small he is compared to the world that God created with his own finger. But the surprising thing is that the God of all creation brings glory and majesty to a person so insignificant as him, and allows him to reign over all creation (vv. 3-8).
다윗은 온 땅과 하늘 위에 나타난 아름다움과 장엄함을 통해 하나님의 권능과 영광을 찬양하고 있습니다. 세상 곳곳에 그 이름의 권능과 위엄이 미치고 있으며, 그 이름의 능력이 얼마나 큰지, 심지어 젖먹이와 어린아이를 통해서도 역사의 혼돈 세력인 원수와 대적자들을 잠잠케 하실 수 있습니다.(1-2, 9절).
다윗은 하나님의 손가락으로 지으신 그 광대한 하늘(우주)과 그곳에서 빛나는 달과 별들을 보면서 자신이 얼마나 작은 존재인지를 깨닫습니다. 하지만 놀랍게도 위대하신 창조주 하나님은 이렇듯 보잘것없는 사람에게 영광과 존엄의 왕관을 씌우셔서 하나님이 만드신 모든 것들을 다스리게 하셨습니다(3-8절).

What Lesson is God Teaching Me?
God gave us the authority to rule over all creation (Ge 1:28). This means that we have the responsibility to take care of and protect nature. Creation is a great work of God that shows God’s power, so we must love God’s work and preserve it.
하나님께서 우리에게 자연만물을 다스리는 권세를 주셨습니다(창 1:28). 이것은 하나님이 만드신 자연을 잘 보전할 책임이 우리에게 있다는 것을 의미합니다. 자연은 하나님의 솜씨가 드러나는 위대한 작품이므로, 우리는 그분의 작품을 사랑하며 잘 보존해야 합니다.
