When the Foundations of the Righteous are Destroyed
의인의 터가 무너질 때
The foundation of life for the psalmist was destroyed because of hardship. He rejected the advice of people telling him to turn his back on God and sought out another solution; but he only sought the face of God.
애매한 고난으로 삶의 터가 무너진 시인은, 하나님께 등을 돌리고 인간적인 해결책을 찾아 피하라는 조언을 물리치며 오직 하나님의 얼굴을 구합니다.

Thinking & Understanding
David wrote this psalm, as King Saul persistently pursued him and was trying to kill him. David’s friends advised him to run away to a foreign nation because there was nothing he could do as he faced the danger of being killed by Saul. But David rejected their advice and only ran to God (vv. 1-3). In this way, David did not focus on the situation that he was faced, but turned to God who sits on the throne and governs over all things. He believed that God stands on the side of the righteous and that he turns his face to people with an honest (true) heart (vv. 4-7).
이 시는 다윗이 자신을 죽이려는 사울 왕의 집요한 추격을 받을 때 지은 것입니다. 다윗의 친구들은, 사울 왕의 위협으로 삶의 기초가 무너져 내린 상황에서 무엇을 할 수 있겠냐며 다윗에게 외국으로 도망치라고 했습니다. 하지만 다윗은 이를 거부하며 하나님께 피하겠다고 합니다(1-3절). 이처럼 다윗은 자신이 처한 상황만을 바라보지 않고, 하늘 보좌에 앉으셔서 모든 것을 다스리시는 하나님을 바라보았습니다. 하나님은 의인 편이시고 마음이 정직한(‘바른’) 자는 하나님의 얼굴을 볼 것을 믿었기 때문입니다(4-7절).

What Lesson is God Teaching Me?
God sits on the throne in heaven and governs over all things. God knows all things and can do anything. Therefore, the best way to solve any problem is to go before God and pray. Also, we must trust in the righteous God and act honestly and properly. Look towards God. Pray to God. Stay true in front of God.
하나님은 하늘 보좌에 앉으셔서 모든 것을 다스리십니다. 모든 것을 아시고 또 모든 것을 할 수 있으십니다. 따라서 가장 확실한 문제 해결 방법은 하나님 앞에 나아가 기도하는 것입니다. 그리고 의로우신 하나님을 믿고 끝까지 정직하고 진실하게 행동하는 것입니다. 하나님을 바라보십시오. 하나님께 기도하십시오. 하나님 앞에서 정직하십시오.

Give me the strength to be patient and the courage to not run away.
